What is Ritual Theatre?
Ritual theatre is an experiential form of performance that enacts myths and archetypal stories to facilitate healing and transformation.
Unlike traditional theatre, it emphasizes immersive participation, allowing performers and audience members to engage deeply with the narrative exploring their emotions and connecting with their lived experience.
Drawing on ancient practices that intertwine art, healing, and spirituality, ritual theatre fosters a sense of community and shared understanding, making it a powerful tool for personal and communal transformation.
What is Prayerformance?
Prayerformance is a dynamic fusion of prayer and performance art that seeks to evoke deeper stories and energies.
It transforms expression into an immersive experience, where artists create performance pieces that resonate with devotional themes, archetypal interplay, and collective healing.
Prayerformance prioritizes the consent-based engagement between the artist and the audience, encouraging a symbiotic exchange.
Through movement, music, and visual elements, this practice is a powerful medium for igniting a shared energy that uplifts, inspires, and liberates.
What is Soulful Seduction?
Soulful seduction in performance art is an intimate expression that blends sensuality and spirituality. Think of it as burlesque fused with intentional space holding.
It goes beyond physical attraction, focusing on creating a profound emotional and energetic connection between the performer and the audience.
Through carefully crafted movements, evocative sounds, and intentional energy work, performers create a space where audience members can explore their deepest desires and vulnerabilities.
This expression of seduction and tease creates an artistic bridge into experiencing one shared artistic experience.
A note on cultural appropriation and religious ideation…
At Altar of Eros, we create immersive events that beautifully blend Ritual Theatre, Prayerformance, and Soulful Seduction.
Our mission is to honour the rich tapestry of cultural and spiritual traditions while prioritizing respect and sensitivity.
We are deeply committed to avoiding cultural appropriation, which can harm marginalized communities and perpetuate stereotypes. Instead, we strive to weave original expressions inspired by various practices, carefully ensuring that we do not misrepresent or exploit these traditions. We do this by consulting with respective members of the community and addressing this from a proactive approach.
We are also committed to avoiding religious ideation and misrepresenting religious beliefs or structures. We aim to honour and respect religion, while also weaving in different interpretations to help facilitate empowered healing through performance art.
Our events foster cross-cultural understanding and promote thoughtful dialogue about our inspirations and influences. People involved in our events are encouraged to actively engage in ongoing education about cultural sensitivities and consult with cultural advisors when appropriate to ensure authenticity and respect in our presentations.

Together, may we rewrite the stories of our mythos. Finding space to return home to the parts of ourselves that have been lost, but not forgotten.
